The development of Electric Power in China has matured. Power shortage in supply today, as a power generation the power plant has become indispensable. Expected in the next decade, China's power industry will transition from the rapid development stage to the stage of stable development, electricity demand will still continue to grow steadily. With the continuous advancement of technology and economic development, China's power industry technologies are maturing, so DCS system used in various power plants in our country is more widely. Application of DCS system means to exaltation the level of the power plant's automation.As a core part of power plant automation control system, safety and reliable operation of DCS system are critical. Guohua Taicang Power Plant is the power generation companies, who is the first to achieve desulfurization and denitrification systems running simultaneously with a host in our country, its level of automation in the country is in a leading position. However, with the continuous improvement of the technical requirements and product replacement requirements, DCS system of Guohua Taicang Power Plant needs to be upgraded.Firstly, the research status, the functional structure and the related concepts of of the DCS system were summarized, as well as the specific structural and functional characteristics of thermal power plants in specific applications DCS system were analyzed. On the based of analysis the existing problems of the Unit 7 DCS system, it discussed the necessity Unit 7 DCS system optimization and designed three feasibility program for the upgrading of the DCS. Secondly on the based of the three feasibility program and the features of DCS system upgrade, according to the principles and ideas of building index system, this article constructed program evaluation indicators system in technical feasibility, cost factors, equipment reliability and market factors. In this paper, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model based on entropy weight method was ued to evaluation and selectionthe.Composite score of three programs by sorting method in order to identify the technical feasibility, economic and social programs with the best of.The evaluation results show: The first program, although has technically feasible, but has the heavy workload and a large amount of investment, as well as it will cause a lot of waste of resources,and the greater the risk of an unstable system operation; The second program, although has certain advantages in the cost factor, and national security policies, but it can not resolve the problems of save time short and IO cards high failure rate which DCS has problems in; The third program have the advantages of a lower investment cost, smaller workload, sustainability and good safety, and running well, so it is the best solution for Unit 7 DCS system upgrade.On the basis of selectting the third program, This article describes the elements of the program of the third embodiment, and andanalyzes the specific operating results when Unit 7 DCS system has been transformed. Its operating results show that it have solved all the problems of pre-existing, and improves the operating efficiency of the DCS system and Unit 7, achieves a more secure and stable operation of the effect after upgrade, which has achived the upgrade's purposes.
