Information transmission of smart substation relies on network. With applications of new technology, the testing standards and standardized systems to evaluate performance of the network core equipment in smart substation are not wholesome, and it can't roundly reflect the performance of the network switch in smart substations. A complete set of evaluation method can be used to evaluate the performance of the network switch, which is also helpful for the optimization of the network.By analysing the test index of network switch and the characteristics of smart substation network and determining the test method of the intelligent substation network switch, the thesis firstly puts forward an evaluation plan by use of AHP-Entropy method and fuzzy-comprehensive evaluation theory on the basis of analyzing the existing performance the switch, which can realize automatic scoring to the switch. The fuzzy set theory roundly analyses the performance of switch in terms of flow, transmit dalay and address capacity.With the information entropy theory, The entropy weight of each index is determined according to the entropy of each index entropy size. By using the weight of AHP-Entropy methods, the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation weight is calculated and then the comprehensive evaluation model of switch is set up.After the testing and evaluation of the switch in the network, the network structure of the smart substation need to be optimized to improve the performance of the network.By optimizing the network topology structure and the optimization of VLAN, network pressure and delay which are caused by the large number of network packets in the smart substation can be reduced, and provide a feasible method to improve the reliability of the process layer network.It is a feasible method for improving the reliability of the network.Finally,the intelligent substation switch network performance test evaluation system is developed by using the WPF software, the test assessment system can guide switch network performance testing and test evaluation to provide support, as well as the switches in the network test and selection to provide the basic data.
