AC drive technology has been directed the evolution for the drive system of the railway locomotives and urban rail transit cars because of its economy and technical superiorities. DMU AC drive test platform with equivalent power is needed to provide good test condition for the research, development and production of the AC drive systems. So this dissertation makes some researches on a DMU AC drive test system test platform.DMU drive system test platform was built in accordance with China Railway standards of TB/T 2078-2006 and international ICE standards of ICE61287-1,ICE60349-2 and ICE61337-3, and puts forward specific requirements for building this platform, according to domestic and abroad AC drive test platform. This dissertation expatiates on the work principle and energy conserving principle of multi-AC drive test system, proposes the reciprocal power-fed test associated control scheme of twin motors based on vector control, which is adapted to the needs of enterprise test. The twin inverter-motors reciprocal power-fed system using the above control scheme has good steady-state performance, adjustability of speed and load torque. It has the availability of emulating traction and braking condition tests of locomotives.This dissertation designs the test platform architecture, including the computer control system and the composition of the platform. It also designs the main circuit system and the control circuit, which includes the console control circuit, rectifier control circuit, and diesel peripheral control circuit. In the last, this dissertation describes hardware selection and the reason. Specially, this dissertation describes the design of the motor load simulation. It studies deeply on the feasibility of the program, in the perspective of the traditional mechanics and software simulation. In addition, this dissertation designs the measurement and control system of the test platform. It briefly describes the structure of measurement and control system, the design of CAN bus application layer, data collection programs, software protection and monitoring systems and so on.Finally, This dissertation makes a presentation of the project tests on the platform, and specially carries out test item in detail of the diesel generator set, the traction converters, the traction motor, and the overall power system on the test programs and the procedures. The test platform that this dissertation developed has been successfully applied in the enterprise.
