In recent years, fire accidents occur frequently in high-rise buildings. Preventing spreading of fire at the beginning of a fire and creating a good condition for extinguishing the fire will directly impact the success of the overall firefighting system and the fire extinguishing process. Fire door divides the space of the building into a number of fireproof zone. Once the fire occur in one fireproof zone, the fire door can prevent the fire from spreading in a certain period of time. Thus, the fire will be brought under control effectively. How to set the door linkage control is an important component to evaluate the quality of automatic fire control system.The fire door monitoring system is a dedicated system for monitoring the working status of the fire doors in a building, which is an independent subsystem of the automatic fire alarm system. When the fire door works in a non-normal state, such as opening or closing is not in the right place, the fire door monitoring system will send alarm signals. The fire door monitoring system can receive the fire alarm signal which is sent by the fire alarm controller, and then open or close the fire door according to the linkage information set by the system.In this paper, the fire door monitoring system consists of a controller, a monitoring module and an electric door closers. An electric door closers is composed of an ordinary door closers, two sucker electromagnets, two limit switches and a lead rail. Electric door closers and monitoring module adopts four wire connection, the power cord and signal lines respectively. The controller communicates with the monitoring module through RS-485 bus, and the communication is based on Modbus protocol. Between the controller and the monitoring module are placed the filters, which can restrain the common mode interference effectively. A controller is composed of a master control module, a loop module, a touch screen, a printer and a power management module. The master control module communicates with the loop module through the CAN bus, and the communication is based on the iCAN protocol. The program of the master control module includes an LAP program and a user application program, and IAP program is used for linkage programming, user application program runs ?C/OS-? operating system. Tests of the prototype show that the fire door monitoring system can operate normally in complex industrial environments, can monitor the status of the fire door in real time, and also control the fire door by linkage information once there is a fire signal.
