The Suitability Study Of New Rural Settlements Location Of Yunding Longchang County

Man-land relationship is the issue the society development must confront and discuss, it’s also the basic conditions of urban and rural construction.At present, more people and less land is the most directly resource condition of our country, the contradiction between man and land widely existed between urban and rural areas. In the countryside, the construction activities have become increasingly frequent, the new rural settlements construction also have become a trend gradually. However, due to the lack of systematic and comprehensive analysis for the location, some of the new rural settlements planning only were reflected in the planning drawings, or differed greatly between implementation and planning. Consequently, it’s necessary to study the location of new rural settlements.The present researches on rural residential location mainly involve the principle, evaluation system or influence factors, but the research on the location of the new rural settlements in the southern Sichuan hilly area is very few, so this paper has positive meanings and necessity to research the location suitability of new rural settlements in Yunding Longchang County.The main contents of this paper include the new rural settlements location evaluation index system construction and the site selection evaluation of the Yunding global town.Firstly, this paper chooses a relatively reasonable research methods on the basis of combing the relevant theory, domestic and foreign literature and Yunding town’s basic data. Secondly, this paper surveys the seven settlements and the surrounding areas of Yunding town by questionnaires, interviews, etc. and construct a site selection evaluation index system preliminarily. Thirdly, modifying to obtain the final evaluation index system combined with the experts’ advices. Fourthly, choosing experts as the evaluation subject after comparing the data of the samples of the farmers and experts, and calculated the weight of the indicators using Excel. Fifthly, extracted the basic data of each index, and eliminated Yunding town’s inappropriate location area by Arcgis, and then converted the 16 indicators of the layer is to raster data, then merged layers using the grid calculator to obtain Yunding town’s location suitability analysis chart. Finally, analysed the merits of location of the planned settlements in Yunding, summarized the siting problems in Yunding town’s new rural settlements, and gave some site selection advices for the following new rural settlement planning.Through the above research, the main results are as follows:(1)constructed the Yunding town new rural settlements evaluation index system including 3 level indicators and 16 secondary indicators;(2)determined the weights of each index factor, wherein the weight value of the level indicators is not very different, the weight values of per capita annual net income(0.1010), relocation costs(0.0905), and acceptability of farmers(0.1119) among the secondary indicators are greater, and the ground elevation(0.0266), population density(0.0292) of relatively smaller weight, other indexes weights compared to the average;(3) divided the site suitability of Yunding town into five grades: The most suitable areas, more suitable area, barely suitable area, less suitable area and unsuitable area, wherein the preferred site areas are mainly located in the north of the village with better economic conditions; In all settlements, the location condition of the Daao tian, Shayan, and the Grass dam is better, the Nine and Ketang wan is general, the Dingjia dang and the Huangda wan is extremely unreasonable as located in basic farmland protection areas.
