Early service of 300MW unit responsible for the early stage of industrial development of production power generation task, but high heat loss, low flow efficiency is the main drawback of 300MW unit, and in the long run also exposed the many security problems.And with the development of the industry, the country has become increasingly increase to the requirement of the power plant energy conservation and emissions reduction in the new period, the early of 300MW unit has not meet the requirements of energy conservation and emissions reduction under the new policy, must use the mature technology for transformation on the flow of steam turbine, and excavate potential, improve operational efficiency, improve the reliability of operation, economy and reducing emissions of pollutants, further to meet the requirements of the depth of the power grid peak shaving operation. The lower efficiency of the steam turbine flow path is always the main factor of the efficiency of the unit, and through the study of the operating conditions of the uint, the domestic insititutions coupled with the continous in depth analysis of the operating conditions of the unit under different conditions, and finally determined the impacts of the unit effiency constraints.This paper mainly discusses the zhangjiakou power plant unit 8. First, this paper introduces the development of the current transformation technology, and puts forward several sets of transformation plans for the specific problems of the #8 unit. The program submitted by the eastern steam turbine plant is accepted through the study and comparison of the contents of each program with the actual situation. After the comparison of the state before and after the transformation, the importance of the trancformation of the flow is apparent. Through the transformation of the current, the high and middle pressure cylinder have been optimized in the perspective of mature technology transformation, which effectively improves the efficiency of the steam turbine, increases the output of the unit,and effectively reduces the energy consumption. At the same time,the successful completion of the reconstruction project of the 300MW unit gave the experience to the same capacity of the unit.
