The Analysis Of Architectural Style And The Study Of Inheritance Strategy In The Southern And Middle Regions Of Anhui

The traditional architecture in Anhui has been a gem of Chinese architectural history for its aesthetic and spiritual values. According to the terrain features and cultural differences, its traditional building styles can be divided into three parts and they are the southern, middle and northern parts of Anhui. The Hui style architecture in the southern part of Anhui and the Jianghuai style in the middle region of Anhui are the two most influential architectural styles in Anhui. It will be of far-reaching significance to study the contrast and unification of the traditional architectural styles as well as the modern unified inheritance practices, as they can motivate us to have a more comprehensive understanding of the traditional architectural styles of Anhui, protect traditional styles and inherit & develop the usage of traditional styles in modern architecture.This paper has based on the contrast of traditional architectural styles in the southern and middle regions of Anhui as well as the applied techniques in modern buildings. It has first grasped the architectural features of the southern and middle regions of Anhui by means of field research and summed up the links and differences in the plane shapes, spatial sequence and architectural styles in different buildings by comparing the cases; It has also made use of the analytic hierarchy process to score the factors affecting the Hui style architecture in the southern part of Anhui and Jianghuai regional styles in the middle part of Anhui respectively, so as to calculate the weight value of each element in the evaluation system; Through the graphic study of questionnaire surveys and cases, it has analyzed the heritage techniques of modern architecture as well as summed up the application rules of the traditional styles into modern architecture designs from several aspects such as the inheritance of context, the extraction of architectural forms, the inheritance & innovation of materials & colors and the practices of traditional symbols; According to the foregoing conclusions, it has guided the design practices of the regional architecture in Anhui.Researchers proposed through quantitative and qualitative analysis, understanding of traditional architecture and modern architecture inheritance practices in the south and middle of Anhui Province. It has profound significance for the protection and inheritance of Anhui architecture in the future.
