Abstract:With the economic development, accelerated urbanization process and constant urban expansion, the land exploitation on the edge of city become increasingly strong. Because the design guidelines and standards about access entry of low-grade roads in suburban area is missing in China, all kinds of land parcels access main roads casually. Moreover, the lack of later-stage management leads to severe traffic conflicts, and reduce safety performance and traffic capacity further.Aiming at the goal of traffic safety and traffic smooth, this paper studies segment coordinated management of access entry of low-grade roads in suburban area. First, according to the field survey data, combining with domestic and international research results, double-layer division mode, a method of segment division, is generated as foundation of generating access management plans and realizing the coordinated management. Moreover, through arrangement and research of present access management methods at home and abroad, obtain access management method apply to low-grade roads in suburban area, and propose coordinated management principles according to various kinds of access entry in segment. In the end, generate coordinated management method based on case study, and analyze improvement measures using VISSIM and SSAM to evaluate rationality of management scheme.
