The Spatial Configuration Research Of Suzhou Traditional Dwellings Based On Space Syntax

In this paper, based on space syntax to nine Suzhou traditional dwellings are studied. The research focuses on two aspects:on the one hand, compare the survey conclusion and space syntax calculation data of Suzhou traditional dwelling in all kinds of courtyard; on the other hand, the configuration of Suzhou traditional dwelling will be research in space syntax. The application of space syntax to study Suzhou traditional dwellings is a new way of Suzhou traditional dwelling research. This is the main innovation point of this article.The paper’s main body is divided into six chapters. The first chapter introduction is made of the thesis research on a series of preparation; Case selection principle is the key of dwelling, for the study of this article defined the scope of Suzhou nine tradition dwellings. The second chapter is Suzhou traditional dwelling case study part, it integrate the two parts of documentary research and field investigation, a detailed description of all the case. The third chapter is Suzhou traditional dwelling space syntax calculation results presented; The range of Space syntax theory and its practice is very broad, the study of Suzhou traditional houses the issue, need to be suitable for dwelling houses in the research of space syntax, targeted for the case is calculated again. The fourth chapter are the courtyard characteristics of residential case analysis; This chapter emphasizes the comprehensive interpretation of the comparative courtyard function, location and space feeling, the relationship between configuration and so on various factors, in each kind of courtyard for full analysis. The fifth chapter is about configuration of Suzhou traditional residence space syntax thematic interpretation; thorough study in this chapter, in view of the case configuration characteristics of connotation and denotation for further discussion. Chapter six is one of Suzhou traditional dwellings case Wang Zhai reform, as an example, on the basis of above research results of Suzhou traditional dwellings, put forward the feasibility plan to transform for Wang Zhai; This part will study combined with practical application, and in space syntax for tool, and offers a new design approach for transformation of traditional dwellings.
