As a carrier of folk real life, the base of traditional southern Hunan dwellings is huge and widely distributed, which truly carries folk cultural activities in southern Hunan, and is the main component of the overall built environment.Jingyuan,as the most unique architectural form of traditional southern Hunan architecture, blends the essence of local traditional culture and is the most representative and unique part.It truly reflects the "institute" culture and "enclosed" culture of traditional Chinese architecture.Just as Le Corbusier said that "planarity is fundamental",the current protection and renovation of residential buildings in southern Hunan mostly uses retro styles and symbol collages, which is seriously insufficient for the inheritance of architectural space. Therefore, the study of the space in the residential courtyard of the southern Hunan is an inheritance of tradition. What needs to be clear is that the "well courtyard" referred to in this article is the abbreviation of courtyard and courtyard, not the study of a single well space. Therefore, the study of the space in the residential courtyard of the southern Hunan is an inheritance of tradition.By reviewing the development history of traditional dwellings in southern Shonan, exploring the morphological factors of their courtyards, conducting field investigations on their typical residences, using space syntax to analyze the structural relationship of their courtyards, and extracting and absorbing their design methods, using Design of local settlements and construction of new rural areas, and predict their future development forreasonable reconstruction. What needs to be clear is that the "well courtyard" referred to in this article is the abbreviation of patio and courtyard, not the study of single-day well space.Secondly, the measured data is corrected by CAD,a plan is drawn, and cases are selected by classification to carry out the following analysis and research. At the same time, the spatial syntax theory, parameter indicators and three models are sorted out.For this study, the appropriate models and parameters are selected, namely the convex space model, the integration degree, the selection degree, and the depth of space required for the construction of the well yard model.Thirdly, the spatial plane is divided into case planes based on the idea of studying spatial relationships in the space syntax. The Depthmap software is used to quantitatively analyze the spatial structure and the topological relationship between them to obtain the integration, selectivity, and depth of each case.At the same time, the courtyard is divided into three parts, namely the house, the courtyard and the patio. The structure characteristics of each part are analyzed based on the obtained data.A new perspective on the residential space is proposed at the structure level, and the space design method is discussed. Finally, because the multi-dimensionality of the well courtyard's spatial morphology determines the diversity of its morphological characteristics,a scatter plot is drawn based on the parameter indicators selected above, and the overall analysis of the well courtyard's spatial organization characteristics and its dominance in the topological relationship of southern Hunan residential buildings Status,re-interpretation of the southern Hunan residential houses from a syntactic perspective, and re-recognize our "knowing but not knowing" southern Hunan residential houses. This perspective is helpful to studythe dynamics, origin, and development of the chronological evolution and contemporary adaptive development of the spatial forms of residential houses in southern Hunan.Combining the design of contemporary settlements in the perspective of rural revitalization, explore the roots of traditional residential protection and renewal.Use modern materials to create a classical sense of space in contemporary residential design, and guide quantitatively and qualitatively the construction of new rural areas in southern Hunan during the process of social urbanization.
