When observing the countryside and the city very perceptually, it will be found that there are too many differences. The former one is quiet while the other one is noisy; the former one is pared-down and simple while another is fashionable. The life in the country is slow and the scenery is an unique natural landscape. But in a city, people always keep a fast pace of life. When investigating the countryside and the city very rationally, it can be found that there is too much construction happened in the country. For architecture and urban planner, country provides a broad stage for them realizing their ideas. In countryside, the construction of material property and the accumulation of capital in the countryside are synchronous. It is the flow of capital from city to country that triggered a large number of building activity in rural place. Land factors, related policies and regulations affect the material construction. Compared to the building activity in the city, there are a lot of different points of construction in rural areas. On the one hand, the country's unique natural environment and climate are different from them in the cities, on the other hand, it is the unique local human feelings in the rural areas. When facing the countryside, it?s necessary to discuss the occupation from the “globalization” to the “local character” and the replacement from the “industrialization” to the “traditional”. In terms of architectural design, the subject of the Neo-vernacular need to be proposed.In this paper, the design, the research process and the related issues of the office building in a town planted garden in D county are discussed. Too many questions e merging into my mind. What function space does the modern agriculture park need? How will the building monomer serve these functions? How to find a reasonable technical specifications for reference? How to deal with the architectural expression and corporate image? How to build a modern architecture in a country? What should be the form, space, and construction of the building? Then a number of field survey which including the basic element and the architectural texture in the site and the building condition in the D County are conducted.This paper studies the economic background of rural construction, explores the influence of capital, land, and policy on rural construction. By researching the concepts and problems of the Neo-vernacular and some building case, ideas for architecture in the agricultural park can be provided. Then the progress of the design and the construct are introduced. All this can explain how to deal with the rural construction for an architect.This paper is mainly composed of drawings, photographs, interviews, problem analysis and discussion. Take the four seasons planting garden office building as the case, the result of research is displayed and the progress of the design is explained. It started from the analysis of the type of the surrounding buildings, the way of the architects involved in the site. In the project, the architect studied the architectural space sequence, architectural form, multi professional cooperation, as well as the construction of the problem. In the end, the question such as the Space sequence, architectural form, multi professional cooperation and construction are discussed based on the rethink of the design of the business building. It supposed to be helpful for the architect to think about the combination of the “traditional” and “modern”, “regional” and “global” based on this practice project.
