Research Of Construction Methodologies For The Two Kinds Of Vernacular Architectures In Yulin,Shaanxi

Research and summarize the construction of vernacular architecture wisdom is an important topic in today's architecture research.From the trend of modern architecture,we need to return to the origin of regional architecture,and to learn wisdom from the local construction to improve the contemporary architecture.Based on this purpose,this research selected Yulin of Shaanxi province where living environment is relatively harsh.In order to summarize the construction wisdom,I made a survey,analysis and research on the two kinds of vernacular architecture.It is hoped that the traditional construction wisdom can be combined with the current construction system to produce a new building system with low energy and low emission.As the two typical area in Yulin,Tongwan city are and Gaojiabu ancient town formed two different vernacular architectural system because of the difference of geographical,property agriculture and so on.The architectures in Tongwan city are mainly made of soil and wood while those in Gaojiabu ancient town are mainly made of stone and bricks.A large amount of local villages that present the authentic people's living style are currently still preserved in these two areas.Despite the shaky condition of some architecture,a in-depth research to these two different building ways are not only important but also imperative.This thesis takes the local villages round the Tongwan city and Gaojiabu ancient town as the research subject,through a series ways like field investigation,discovering proof in documentation,measuring and recording,studying the history,have a thorough study on the environment that the locals live in and also on the two building ways of the vernacular architecture.Through the comparative study and analysis on this two architecture's building ways,we could get look closer at how the people in a fragile,resource-poor environment adjust to the nature and build architecture there,record people's wisdom presented in the symbiosis of people and the fragile nature,and provide some help to the passing of regional architecture and environment protection.
