Development And Application Of Natural Gas Flow Metering Device Based On The NI PXI Platform

In the storage and transportation, natural gas is mainly transported through the pipelines and more than 80% the measurement of natural gas is with the use of intelligent orifice plate flow meter. Therefore, the accuracy of the test of natural gas intelligent orifice plate flow meter has a great impact on the measurement of natural gas. Meanwhile, the accuracy of measurement and verification of natural gas pl ays an important role in the natural gas processing, natural gas flow and so on. Online verification of natural gas flow metering verification device with the use of natural gas orifice plate flow meter has great practical significance.In order to meet the on-site and real time measurement of natural gas in the actual production and the on-line real time detection in oil field, natural gas flow metering device has been developed.This paper briefly introduces the background and demand of the research and the development of natural gas measurement at home and abroad. Based on the actual demand in Daqing Oilfield, the project was identified as the main content of the research.According to relevant rules and calculation methods, based on the main function parameters of the product, and the main methods for the realization of the parameters, the main direction of the device and the corresponding realization methods were put forward. With the platform of Ni PXI, the portable natural gas flow metering device has been designed and developed, and the specific methods for implementation have been given.According to the actual functional demands, natural gas metering device platform can measure natural gas with the combination of standard orifice plate and intelligent transmitter,and acquire the data of a meter. Under on-site conditions, the platform can calculate the standard of natural gas, the natural gas compressibility factor and the volume flow in real time. The whole measuring device is composed of the upper computer interface, the lower computer real-time RT hardware system and the data acquisition card. The software platform can realize to set the on-site natural gas state parameters manually, and record the natural gas compressibility factor and the volume flow in real time. The software platform also can record the data and store the database locally and upload a remote Oracle database remotely.
