Research On The Effect Of The Retrograde Non-Motor Vehicles To The Intersection

Urban road intersection is an important part of urban traffic system, and in the entire road network, intersection become a node on the urban road traffic capacity and traffic safety. And our country road traffic environment have distinctive Chinese characteristics, mixed with a variety of models, while non-motor vehicle vehicle is and will be at a higher level for a long time. At present, domestic and foreign scholars have carried out a detailed study on mixed traffic, However, these studies have their attention on the operating characteristics of the motor vehicle. In prior studies, not yet made a workaround on the operating environment for China's transportation.When designing the intersection of intersection, Design Unit have only considered on the motor vehicles. Compression the width of non-motorized vehicles and sidewalks, while motor vehicle lanes do not have enough width at the intersection. In recent years, with the increasing emphasis on slow systems, designers take more attention on the slow systems.So this study, by studying the retrograde non-motor vehicles in the intersection traffic impact analysis to solve the following problems:first, the causes of retrograde non-motor vehiclesin the intersection, the effect of retrograde non-motor vehicles and how to eliminate retrograde non-motor vehicles; second, the organization mode of the signal to control intersection control retrograde non-motor vehicles and their adaptability; third, whether by traffic line markings?signs?text?arrows, and adopting the object way to control and guide the non-motor vehicles driving path, try to reduce the influence of retrograde non-motor vehicles to the intersection. Papers have some reference on the the organization and management of the intersection as in our country the retrograde non-motor vehicles will not disappear soon.
