| Since twenty-first Century, the rapid development of Information technology has brought revolutionary change in all walks of life. With the continuous development of China’s construction industry, the project becomes more and more complex and the project participants not only become more and more, but also have a closer link between each other. So it has put forward a higher requirement for transmission and sharing of information between different parts. Therefore, the application of information technology in construction field is the development direction of the present stage. BIM (Building Information Modeling) is the important techniques to promote building information process. The paper has linked BIM with bridge engineering to explore the specific applications of BIM in bridge engineering.Firstly, the author analyzed the application status of BIM at home and abroad in bridge engineering and found the research seriously insufficient. The contents and directions of the thesis were proposed on the basis of the research status.The paper introduced the basic concepts and related software of BIM, summarized the differences between BIM and traditional CAD technology in three aspects of tools, methods and results. What’s more, five standards about the application of BIM were put forward which should be followed in a project. They are visualization, simulation, optimization, coordination and drawings.Besides, the paper not only explored the specific applications of BIM in research, design, construction, and operation and maintenance phase of bridge engineering, but also studied the methods of establishing the 3D information of the bridge using the Civil 3D and Revit software. Furthermore, the thesis summarized the volume modeling methods of the bridges which had complicated spatial alignment on the basis of Revit volume environment function.Finally, the thesis took the No seven bridge of Shenzhen Qianhai as an example to develop bridge modeling, reinforcement design based on BIM and realized the applications of automatic engineering quantity statistics and collision check etc. |
