Product identification design is the main method to continue the design style as well as shape the unique product image of the enterprise, and also one of the most important parts of the enterprise design management. According to the research of literature and design practice, product identification design of the enterprise is currently accomplished by industrial designers relying on their own design experience and the ability of semantic conversion, with a lack of systematic methodology and quantitative data to support. In academia, most of the research on product identification select products with a clear style positioning and plenty history samples as the research object. There is no doubt about the authenticity of the results, but it is still worth discussing whether it is applicable to domestic SMEs.This paper make a research on the method of product identification design and combines the parametric shape grammar with product identification, and takes FOTILE enterprise products taken as the research carriers are studied from the following four aspects: Firstly, methods including cognitive psychology, kansei engineering and so on are used to clear product positioning and abstract product style as well as hidden features. Secondly, a general shape grammar generation rule of the research samples is defined through extract the dominant characteristics of the study sample by the method of morphological analysis, And through the restriction of the product function, it is restricted to avoid the unreasonable scheme. It is used for derivative product innovation. Thirdly, sample to be studied is expanded by orthogonal test method, and implicit and explicit features of the mapping model are established, while the weight and contribution rate of the hidden features of the components and modeling features are calculated in order to extract the main modeling features. Fourthly, the changeable scope of the main features under the constraint of the shape style are studied to verify the hypotheses that component features with high weight and contribution rate should be modified to maintain stability, while component features with low weight and contribution rate could be modified moderately. Finally, rules for the modification of shape grammar are formed to derive the product shape with enterprise style. At the end of the paper, the participation of the tutor's horizontal topic-- Products identification design of Titan group is introduced with the design of rotor spinning machine series as an application of this study.
