With the rapid development of China's national economy and to match the rural urbanization continually acceleration, the construction and reforming of power facilities continues increasing especially in the distribution network. The distribution network of Shanghai has made considerable process in power supply reliability and quality after long-term construction and reforming, but the economy of power network is still low. Thus how to find out a more reasonable and more optimized distribution network model to adapt the requirement of Shanghai the high reliability, quality, intelligent and requirements of sustainable development is Shanghai Electric power company concerned about and the issues of this paper. This paper mainly completed the following work:(1)Researched the distribution network supply blocks handshaking model and applied the theory result into Shanghai Jinshan Area power supply capacity analyzing and network structure optimization process.(2)Presented a novel network structure optimization method based on the actual situation of Jinshan Area Network. Selected the Zhujing Town and Jinshan Industrial Park as typical areas to research the abilities of 10 kV loads transfer capabilities and to research network structure optimization.(3)Chosed all the main transformers of 25 substations belongs to Jinshan Area Network to test “N-1” situation examination and analyzed 10 kV loads transfer capabilities, then presented reforming advices upon handshaking weak points and the overload lines as long as estimates the effect and the economy of reforming project. This research result which through studied on the structure optimization of Jinshan distribution network is valuable for either the near future construction of Jinshan Area Network or long-term vision of network planning.
