In recent years, the frequent occurrence of earthquakes in the world, resulting in a lot of school teaching buildings damaged or collapsed. Primary schools with a large number of people, high density, small grade and other characteristics.Once an earthquake occurs, the consequences will be very serious. Earthquake will threat to the lives and safety of teachers and students. Therefore, it is urgent to strengthen the construction of the school building.With the increased requirements of the applying functions in construction, there are many difficulties in the selection of structural reinforcement schemes.Especially in the high intensity areas, these difficulties are more prominent.This thesis takes the seismic strengthening design of the Muyazuqing school in Ganzi county as the research subject. Starting from the overall analysis of mixed structure, as well as basing on the engineering examples in recent years.Considering the seismic performance, economy, reliability and feasibility of the structure, to determine the final structure scheme.In this paper, we will compared with the ordinary hinge bearings and rubber bearings,as well as contrast frame structure and frame shear wall structure. Furthermore, evaluate the seismic performance of the program and put forward optimization suggestions.The project original design of school is separately. To simulate the real results,we will adopt general finite element analysis software MIDAS GEN to analyze the seismic performance of the whole model.And combined with the practical engineering experience, to provide suggestion for the future design of seismic strengthening.
