With the firm implementing of going-out strategy in China, more and more Chinese contractors are being involved in the international projects. While the Chinese contractors are making the remarkable achievements, they are facing the inevitable challenges and risks. Especially in the field of internati onal EPC power projects, the risks are more complicated. Therefore, risk management is indispensable for the survival and development in the international EPC power market.NBT phase II wind power project in Pakistan is the research object of this article. Research on risk management in this article is executed by the four processes of risk identification, risk assessment, risk response, and risk monitoring and control. The purpose of this research is to establish a complete and effective system for risk management, which will ensure the successful execution of power projects on the basis of EPC and provide the reference for the similar projects.Based on the analysis of background information of NBT phase II wind power project in Pakistan, the survey and si te investigation, three major risk categories and sixteen risk resources with the detailed symptoms are identified by the way of expert investigation method. Furthermore, Borda count method is applied to make the evaluation for sixteen risk resources and s ort them. After that, risk response strategy and detailed measure are made for each risk resource and its detailed symptom. In the end, the measures for risk monitoring and risk control are preliminarily planned.
