During the light distribution test on all kinds of alarming lamp box in the cockpit panel of aircraft, the traditional manual operation instrument is manually recorded and calculated directly through naked eye instrument data. The test process leads to complicated operation, heavy workload, low production efficiency, easily making mistakes. This method can’t meet with the high speed, high precision, multi function testing requirements. Therefore,it is very important to put forward a new type of intelligent light distribution test system.The virtual instrument technology, which is the product of the deep combination of computer technology and testing technology, has the great advantage of data acquisition, data processing, data display, data storage and other aspects with respect to traditional methods. Based on the comprehensive analysis of the problems involving related tasks, technical indicators and functions of the system, we design and implement a new integrated test system based on virtual instrument technology. Among them, the hardware platform of the system is proposed based on USB bus and PXI bus combination. In software design, it is used of common virtual instrument VS2010 development tools for systems software development. For image acquisition with a big noise, blurred edges, etc., image processing algorithm is proposed on the basis of the law of universal gravitation and the Hough transform. By de-noising, sharpening the edge, tested the product positioning and other regional processes, it is obtained better treatment effect. At the same time, this paper also focuses on the design and implementation of the overall software development process, the light distribution algorithm, database,program report printing module and so on.In order to test the function and performance of the test system, it is tested and analyzed with the some products for application examples of alarming lamp box in the cockpit panel of aircraft. The results show that the system can be very good for the light distribution operation on the products. And it is also greatly improved the efficiency and accuracy of light distribution. In the paper, the test system of the intelligent light distribution has the advantages of simple operation, high reliability, friendly man-machine interface, convenient maintenance, high degree of automation. It not only provides light distribution for operation improving with an effective way, but also a good platform for the development of automatic test system.
