With the development of national economic and the elevation of people's living standard,the social electricity consumption is sharply increased.But the related electric fire monitors and the early warning devices are incomplete,lead to the fact that the electric fire frequently takes place,cause enormous losses to national economy and people's lives and properties.This paper has introduced the current situation of the electric fire briefly,has pointed out the deficiency of the traditional electric fire monitoring devices,has proposed and developed an intelligent system based on virtual instrument technology for power distribution and fire prevention on the basis of traditional electric leakage protecting device.System composition,characteristic and operation principle have been described in this paper.The system has comprehensive function and hierarchical structure.It is suitable for the low-voltage distribution field taking 220V or 380V as working voltage.The system has the communication interface which can link with the original automatic fire's smoke detection warning system.The author have studied and designed a distributing controlled scheme,adopting the way to joint the master control computer,the data concentrator and the alarm and control units in the project.The alarm and control units realize the measurement,protection,control, communications and other functions.It judge and take out kinds of controls and alarm information through sampling and treating the analog variable of three-phase voltage, three-phase current,leakage current.At the same time,it fulfils the remote control functions through communication with data concentrator.Data concentrator monitor real.time the state of the alarm and control units.It communicates with the master control computer through the RS-485 bus and with the alarm and control units through the RS-485 bus.The communication network has adopted the hierarchical structure of"CAN add RS-485"bus,which makes up for a separate RS一485 network and CAN network respective shortcomings.The master control computer manages the entire intelligent electric fire monitoring system.It communicate with data concentrator through CAN bus,thus achieving state control to the various data concentrator and the alarm and control units.Because the master control computer's manage platform used virtual instrument technology,the system have obvious technological advantages in the respects such as intelligent extent, information processing capacity,performance-cost ratio, effectiveness,etc.The development of the intelligent power distribution and fire prevention system based on virtual instrument technology has improved the efficiency and accuracy of electric fire prewarning early warning work and can precaution effectively electric fire.This system has wide application prospects.
