Application Of Competency In Maintenance Personnel Training Based On CBM

For various influence factors of air force, the maintenance personnel is very important.With the air force strategic transformation and the rapid development of aviation equipments, CBM(Condition Based Maintenance) is implemented in a lot of aviation maintenance enterprises. Through real-time monitoring of aircraft, the maintenance activities become more rapid, accurate and reliable. In the new maintenance mode, personnel's abilities are more required inevitably. Therefore, the aircraft maintenance personnel must be trained scientifically and effectively. In recent years, the competency theory is widely used to guide the staff training. But the theory is not found to be used for the aircraft maintenance personnel training in the published references.The main contents of this paper include:1. Through the review of the relevant theory, military aircraft maintenance process, maintenance personal and maintenance system in CBM are analyzed dentally.2. The competency elements of military aircraft maintenance personnel are analyzed. Firstly, based on CBM, through questionnaires and statistical analysis of questionnaire data, the all kind of personnel competence and its standard are determined. Secondly, competency evaluation method is studied by the grey theory. Example analyses are given at last.3. According to competency model, the training of military aircraft maintenance personnel is analyzed from demand, planning and evaluation method. In the stage of training needs analysis, the grey evaluation model is established to analyse competency gap of maintenance personnel; in the stage of formulating training plan, the training contents and methods aiming at these competency are designed dentally; in the stage of the evaluation of training, the process of pre training, traing and after training are analyzed dentally.
