The transport scheme of heavy-cargo for the large scale hydroelectricity project is a key project to guarantee power station going into operation smoothly and on time]The transport scheme of heavy-cargo for the large scale hydroelectricity project holds the important status in the hydropower station construction. It is of great importance to meet the transportation requirements in large national projects and building of the national defensev It is always the master key for the heavy-cargo transportation to assure the transportation safety of heavy-cargo and improve transportation organization efficiency. With the rapid development of China's economic, the more and more hydropower projects need to be constructed. It would inevitably lead to the some large or even super large hydroelectric equipment need to be transport. However, the components equipment tend to transport heavy weight, large size and irregularvTherefore, there are very many problems in the transportation process. This paper takes the background by the heavy-cargo of hydropower project transportation. The route choice problems of the heavy-cargo transportation for the large scale hydroelectricity project are studied and analysis. Specifically, this study includes the following sections:(1) Firstly, the concept and classification of heavy-cargo are introduced, and the characteristics of transport of heavy-cargo and its characteristics as well as major transport mode of operation are discussed in detail.(2) Secondly, we developed the principle and steps of heavy-cargo transportation plan formulation. The heavy-cargo transportation evaluation index has carried on the detailed research.(3) Finally, we proposed the model of the transportation of the specific heavy-cargo for hydropower project by applying Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) approach. We choose the route choice problem of the heavy-cargo transportation for Dunhua pumped storage power station as an example to do the empirical analysis. An example is conducted to be verify the practicability of the proposed model in the route choice problem of the heavy-cargo transportation for the large scale hydroelectricity project.
