The avionics system is a core component of the large civil aircraft. Development of the avionics system generally runs through the entire cycle of aircraft development, involving communication, navigation, identify, display and control systems as well as the integration of these systems. To reduce the risk and cost of developing avionics system, shorten the development cycle, through the development process of avionics systems, variety of simulation and verification must be done, including interfaces verification, functional verification, etc. During simulation and integrated authentication, the bus excitation signals need to be provided for each avionics unit and the signals from each avionics unit need to be received and processed. Hence the bus excitation technology for avionics system of civil aircraft should be researched. The bus excitation system should be built to support the simulation and integrated authentication of avionics system.A complete, flexibility, versatility and scalability bus excitation system was designed and built. The ARINC429 bus signals and discrete signals for communication and navigation equipments which are the most important equipments of the avionics system were provided,and the signals from the equipments were received and processed.First of all, the functional requirement of the bus excitation system was analyzed, studied from the overall framework, the bus signal type, incentive parameters, data transceiver mode and simulation mode, etc., laid the foundation for the design of the bus excitation system.Then, the architecture of the bus excitation system was studied, the design principles were proposed, the level abstract model and organizational structure model was established,the overall design scheme was proposed. Following the design principles, based on the model,bus excitation system was designed in detail which is a complete, flexibility, versatility and scalability system, including the function of each module application layer design, logical mapping layer interface design, system architecture and hardware driver support physical resources layer development design, etc.Finally, the bus excitation system was tested. And two practical application examples of the system were given. One is in the aircraft avionics system integration verification of digital simulation; another is in real avionics system integrated authentication.
