In modern avionics, more and more digital display equipments, instruments and sensors have been applied in commercial aircraft. However, the traditional cockpit control system adopts direct analog control mode. It is hard to upgrade or expend the system for its complex wiring and low-speed operation. Digital contron system has been a new and available method for the avionics manufacturer.First, on the basis of topic background and significance illustrated, development status of current cockpit control system is discussed. To the shortage of analog system, a hybrid cockpit panel experimental system based on ARINC429 is proposed.Second, an overall project design of new hybrid cockpit panel control system is given according to functional modularization. The whole frame of hardware and software are designed.Third, high-speed, precise digital processing for those digital equipments has been realized, using DSP and CPLD structure; analog signal processing module has been extended by DSP's ADC&DAC function, real-time equipment monitoring and analog dimming is feasible. 4 typical communication interfaces, such as CAN, ARINC429, RS-232, RS-485, are developed for cockpit network. Information interactions of subsystems, subsystem with other electronic aids in cockpit are achieved.At last, manufacturing and debugging of cockpit experimental system have been completed. To test and verify the whole functions of hybrid cockpit panel experimental system, a system test has been brought out and the results are given. New design and improvement for further system development is proposed.
