Due to the independence of the starter and generator system, the traditional aeronautic power system cannot satisfy the general request any longer in the characteristics, such as efficiency, weight, power density and economy. In order to solve this problem, integrated starter/generator system is logically proposed, which can realize dual function of both starter and generator. Switched reluctance starter/generator system does not need any other accessories to achieve the function of both starter and generator. In addition, the system is of high power density, wide speed range, high responsibility and low cost. With all the features, switched reluctance starter/generator system has been an important issue in recent years. The dissertation is devoted to study on switched reluctance starter/generator system, which will be applied to engineering practice in consideration of its advantages.First of all, the dissertation mainly study the work principles and control schemes of switched reluctance starter/generator system. On this basis, it analysis the basic structure, the operation process and three fundamental control methods.The switched reluctance motor should realize dual function of both starter and generator. When the speed ranges from 0 to 13000r/min, the motor runs as a starter. When the speed ranges from 13000 to 32076r/min, the motor runs as a generator. The basic parameters of the motor is determined in accordance with the principles of features based on7.5kW, 270 V and 32076r/min. Beyond that, the parameters is optimized by the RMxprt. In order to make further research on the performance of this motor, the Maxwell 2D model is established by Ansoft. Based on the model, the paper analysis the motor both in the static field and transient field.In the end, the nonlinear simulation model of switched reluctance starter/generator system is established by Matlab/Simulink on the basis of the motor flux linkage. The thesis analysis and verifies the response the system in the starting stage and the electricity performance of constant speed and load.
