Missile defense as an important part of the System of National Defense Systems, increasingly brings to the attention of the national army all over the world. With the continuous development of the anti-missile weapon system and the constantly updating of the anti-missile operation style, the model of various functional weapon systems mutual cooperation, jointly completing the missile defense mission has been accepted by many countries in the world, the concept of the System of Anti-missile Weapon Systems arises at the historic moment. Study on the System of Anti-missile Weapon Systems using the related ideas and technical methods of the System of Weapon Systems research, plays an important role in the construction and maximization operational effectiveness of the System of Anti-missile Weapon Systems.Most of the current researches on the System of Weapon Systems pay more attention to the study of weapon system sets, but to the impact of the relationships between weapon systems among the System of Weapon Systems. Besides, the capability evaluation of the System of Weapon Systems are mostly based on the thought of “decomposition – polymerization”. On the basis of summarizing the existing related researches on the modeling and capability evaluation of the System of Weapon Systems, this paper proposes methods of formalization modeling and capability evaluation of the System of Anti-missile Weapon Systems, and verifies the validity of the proposed methods through a case study.The work of this paper are listed as the followings:(1) Build the formalization model of the System of Anti-missile Weapon Systems based on the theory of Operation Loop. This paper divides the weapon systems into three categories according to their functions, introduces the target nodes, and builds the weapon nodes model of the System of Anti-missile Weapon Systems. This paper analyses the relationships between weapon systems, abstracts six kinds of relationships, and builds the weapon relationships model of the System of Anti-missile Weapon Systems. The paper summarizes the basic process of anti-missile operation, combines the models of weapon nodes and relationships, and builds the operation process model of the System of Anti-missile weapon systems.(2) Evaluate the capacity of the System of Anti-missile Weapon Systems based on the Timed Influence Nets. This paper summarizes the contents and characteristics of the System of Anti-missile Weapon Systems capacity evaluation, analyzes the advantage and disadvantage of Timed Influence Nets evaluating the capacity of the System of Anti-missile Weapon Systems, and builds the capacity evaluation model of the System of Anti-missile Weapon Systems.(3) Propose a method transforming the formalization model into the capacity evaluation model. This paper proves it is feasible that, in the Timed Influence Nets, controlling the probability charge process of the utility node by adding a virtual control node. Based on the proof, this paper proposes a method transforming the formalization model based on the Operation Loop into the capacity evaluation model based on the Timed Influence Nets. Finally, this paper summarizes the process and proposes a framework of the System of Anti-missile Weapon Systems of formalization modeling based on the Operation Loop and capacity evaluation based on the Timed Influence Nets.(4)Verify the feasibility of the proposed methods through a case study. This paper, as an example, evaluates the capacity of the System of Anti-missile Weapon Systems in X area. The paper comparatively analyses the interception probability and the characteristic of time and risk when this System of Anti-missile Weapon Systems under different command and control processes. This example verifies the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed methods of formalization modeling and capacity evaluation of the System of Anti-missile Weapon Systems.
