Study On Protection Setting Of Feeder Automation For Guangxi

Distribution Automation(DA)will be promoted during the "Thirteenth Five-year Plan" period in Guangxi grid.In the context of rural network reconstruction,the Feeder Automation(FA)based on protection is an important form for DA.According to the FA schemes,the Feeder Terminal Units(FTUs)with protective function are configured on distribution lines.At present,the setting methods for FTU are still inadequate and have no unitive criterion.Therefore,studying the matching problems of protection for FA has considerable realistic significance.This paper analysises faults isolation process and protection requirements of FA.The setting scheme of FA protection is studied systematically combine with its construction mode.The research contents are as follows:1)Study the matching problem of reclosing.According to faults isolation process of FA,coordinat protection setting between reclosing and FTU is studied.2)Study the matching problem of tie-switches.Analyzing the no-voltage time of tie-switche with various situations,the automatic switching delay is studied.3)Study the matching problem between up and down stream.According to principle of setting step by step,coordinat protection setting between outlet breaker and FTU is studied.Based on the studies,this paper gives a new setting scheme for FA protection.Cases show that this setting scheme can apply to various FA modes,including voltage-time and voltage-current types.It has good potential applications.
