In recent years,the development of wind power industry was rapid in China.The installed capacity increased rapidly year by year.The scale of wind farms was enlarging.SCADA systems of wind farms has become much more important.Each power companies for its importance also reached an unprecedented level.As the installment expansion of the wind farms,the type of wind turbine has become more and more.Some problem appeared gradually,such as the wind farms remote monitoring(SCADA)systems planning is not reasonable,redundant insufficient of hardware,a variety of communication protocols incompatible.How to reasonable planning of SCADA systems for large wind farms has become an important issue.Firstly,this paper introduces the current status and development trend of wind farms SCADA systems.And then analyzes the network architecture and the principle of monitoring software running in the existing SCADA systems.On its basis,a solution base on industrial Ethernet was proposed by using modern network technology and computer technology.The solution contains system network architecture,hardware selection and some problems need to be considered in design and construction.This paper intensive studied the Modbus/TCP protocol,and determined the Modbus/TCP protocol address point table of wind turbines by my test program.On this basis,put forward the design idea of monitoring system software,and designed the intuitive human-computer interaction interface.Ultimately the system was maked to support the general Modbus/TCP communication protocol.Such,it not only can provide communication interface for other management software and the functions also can be continuous improvement or innovation,so that to meet the demand of the industry day by day.Improve the market competitivenes of the company's products and the economic benefit.By experimental verification,the central monitoring system software can interact data with the local monitoring system and realize data storage,forwarding,and in the form of a graphical report for display function.It also can control wind turbines by the central monitoring system software,such as start,stop,reset wind turbines,or regulating active power and reactive power.The information of the parts in wind turbines can be real-time displayed,such as temperature,wind speed,rotational speed,power and fault and a series of information.Under the background of the localization of wind turbines,thesis paper can provide some help in SCADA systems,At the same time in the application area,the SCADA systems plan proposed in this paper,can provide a reference for design and construction of SCADA systems for large wind farms,and applied in practice.
