With the developing of science and technology,the automobile industry plays a more and more important role in national economy and real life.And at the same time,there are some tough problems for the automobile industry,such as,environmental pollution caused by tail gas and energy shortage.Protecting environment and reducing the consumption of non-renewable energy are problems urged to be solved.It is against this background that new energy vehicles come into people's sight.Pneumatic car can make use of compressed air as driving force,without the burning of fossil fuels and no pollution emission during running process.For these advantages,pneumatic car has become the future direction of development.The main work content includes:1)Introduced the basic theory of pneumatic vehicle.This paper introduces the basic composition of pneumatic vehicle.Energy,mileage and gas consumption economy of pneumatic car were calculated to verify the feasibility of pneumatic car.2)Modeling and simulation of pneumatic engines.Do analysis for working principle and working process of pneumatic engines,and the corresponding mathematical model of working process and performance evaluation index was established.To obtain the variation law of the engine gas state and aerodynamic output characteristics curve of engine,simulation model for two stroke reciprocating piston engine was established using MATLAB/Simulink.Besides,research on the effects of the change law of gas in the cylinder under different speed,the stroke of the piston,valve timing,air pressure on engine performance.3)Analysis of transmission system of pneumatic car.The required aerodynamic engine power and torque were selected according to dynamic target.Research the structure of transmission system and gear ratio and gear shifting strategy of pneumatic car.To meet the basic premise of the automobile aerodynamic power,the required minimum pneumatic engine output power was 67.218kw and the minimum driving force was 4.356kN.4)Built simulation model of pneumatic vehicle and studied on it.Established balance equation of pneumatic vehicle and simulation model for a whole car.Study dynamic and economic performance of pneumatic car using examples.The results showed that the maximum speed of pneumatic car was 103.387km/h.Travelling at 40km/h and 30MPa air pressure tank,the mileage was 108.1km.The maximum climbing degree reached 0.3 at 30km/h.When speed up to one hundred km,total gas consumption was 19kg.5)Simulation on the situation of pneumatic car when acceleration and the effect of pneumatic engine's supply pressure and shift speed on dynamic characteristics.the changes of speed,acceleration and the gas consumption with acceleration time were acquired.The acceleration time was 14.2s.Based on the study on gas consumption under different stalls of acceleration,the variation of total gas consumption with speed under different gear was required.
