Research On The Key Technology Of Transformation From Shapefile Electronic Chart Data To S-57

The increase of the channel congestion and the emergence of large-scale and ultra high speed ship caused challenges to navigation safety.Whereas the importance to ship navigation and auxiliary decision-making,navigation users urgent need electronic chart which meet international standards.Although S-57 standard of electronic chart is full coverage in our country,but there is no unified standard in some inland waters.Few years ago,VCF/MVCF format is the most important electronic chart format in our country,and it is based on Shape format which has a big difference compared with S-57,chart data can not effective sharing.Given Shape format electronic chart is widely used in inland waters,the research which convert Shape format electronic chart data to S-57 standard will have a big influence in promoting the intefration of inland electronic chart and the international standard,as well as the electronic chart data sharing.This paper have studied S-57 standard and Shape electric chart format,on this basis,prase Shape chart data into Shape description format of the text file,and S-57 standard chart data into the S-57 description format of the text file,and then translate Shape description format into S-57 description format through object correspondence,topological reconstruction and coordinate transformation.Finally,encapsulate S-57 description file into S-57 standard.And then Shape format chart to S-57 standard is finished.Specifically,the main work done in this paper include:(1)Study the data structure,organization and encapsulation standard of Shape format and S-57 standard.On this basis,prase above two data into their corresponding text formats.(2)Analyze the technical difficulties in the data conversion,focus on solving the three difficulties of coordinate transformation,topology reconfiguration and feature matching.On this basis,translate Shape description format into S-57 description format.(3)Encapsulation the converted S-57 description format to complete the Shape data to S-57 data conversion.Dandong Port(Figure CN411101)as an example to convert,and diaplay the converted S-57 file through the sea blue chart browser.(4)The converted S-57 chart will be verified by corresponding means and verified it with the official S-57 chart,in particular the spatial location verification and attribute verification of the object to verify the accuracy of the chart.
