With the rapid construction of the road projects,the role of traffic sign facilities in the transportation system can’t be ignored.At present,the management and inspection of traffic signs are completed by manual operation which not only requires a lot of manpower and material resources,but also can’t be detected and solved or improved in time.The existing method has a great disadvantage.For how to feed back and manage traffic signs and other state of dynamic information in time,and ensure the consistency and integrity of the traffic signs in the network and avoid the potential dangers caused by the management of traffic signs is a tricky problem that can’t be solved effectively and timely now.It is both the needs of industry management and the inevitable trend of development of modern transportation that to develop the dynamic information management system of road traffic signs.A dynamic information management system of road traffic signs is put forward for real-time information collection and dynamic management.First,the thesis analyzes the static information such as the type,location and brace forms of traffic signs and the dynamic information such as occlusion and oblique.Then,a judgment model of traffic sign status is established according to the two common states including occlusion and oblique mentioned above,and the functional requirement of the dynamic information management system of traffic signs is put forward that highlight the dynamic warning function of the system.Next,the overall framework of traffic sign dynamic information management system is designed and the function of each module in the system is also analyzed.Finally,the prototype of the dynamic information management system of traffic signs based on internet is developed using database and GIS technology.The function of receiving,processing,the judgment of the status information of the traffic sign and the warning of traffic sign status are realized.The system could satisfy the management of dynamic information of traffic signs.The dynamic information management system of road traffic signs can provide dynamic information management platform for relevant departments.As a result,the efficiency of traffic signs management,the timeliness of traffic signs conservation and the service level of the road network are willing to be improved naturally.
