Research On The Constructing Technique Of The Traditional Architecture Of Residence In Fenxi County,Shanxi Province

This paper is financial supported by the National Social Science Fund Project"Research on the Constructing Technique of the Traditional Architecture of Residence in Shanxi Province"under contract number14BG083.Based on a large number of field surveys and interviews,this paper records and sums up the physical form and construction skills of traditional dwellings in Fenxi county.This paper consists of four parts.The first part clarifies the importance of intangible cultural heritage through literature research.Traditional folk house construction technique as an important part of the intangible cultural heritage has not received the attention it deserves.It is rooted in the special human and natural environment of China,reflecting the ancestor's understanding of the living space,the ability to transform the nature and the control of the material.Fenxi County is located in southern Shaanxi.This piece of land is easy to be ignored by the public and there are very few studies on the traditional folk house in this area.The second part of this paper makes a detailed introduction of the types of traditional folk house,courtyard pattern,spatial morphology of residential courtyards and several well-preserved folk house courtyards with historical value of research in Fenxi County,and shows the localism and diversity of the traditional folk house in Fenxi area through the analysis and summary.The third part of this paper systematically summarizes the traditional folk house construction technique in Fenxi County from the construction team,tool and material,construction process and construction ceremony four aspects,and closely links the cultural customs with the diversity of the folk house.The fourth part describes the present situation and the challenges of the traditional folk house construction technique in Fenxi County,advocates the protection of the traditional folk house construction technique in Fenxi County as an intangible cultural heritage and puts forward a new idea for the development of the traditional construction technique.
