Design Of Street Space Renewal Based On Shared Space

Road has always served as the pioneer in the traditional urban planning,but street space is not only connected to city's traffic,but also carry out an important place for urban life.For residents,whether the city has enough high-quality street space directly affect their lifestyles and habits;for visitors,the street space has played a pivotal role on the city image,urban culture,urban emotional.Today,the urbanization of our country seems to been so easy,however,in such cities with high speed construction,the street function is facing a big test:one is the old city street space with low quality,another is the new city with serious missing of its scale and function.As the construction of new towns in our country is still in the ascendant,whether to follow the original urban street planning method step by step only to create a higher speed,more broad road as the primary purpose or not is worth reconsider.By summarizing the theory of urban street space and urban renewal and researching on the spatial correlation of urban streets,this paper reviews the historical development of Melbourne central by the author's brief life experience in Melbourne.It analyzes the urban space,such as urban traffic,green space,main street and roadway space,and summarizes the part which is worthy of the study in China.The full paper consists of six chapters:The first chapter introduces the background of the proposition and the object of the topic selection,clarifies the purpose of the study,the main problems of research,research innovation,research methods,data sources and research framework.second chapter related the concepts of shared space,urban renewal and street space design,and some research of street space and urban renewal are reviewed.Chapter 3 reviews the evolution of Melbourne's urban development strategy,and elaborates on the development of Melbourne's urban space and several major planning and ideas.The fourth chapter discusses the spatial design of the urban streets in Melbourne from the aspects of urban location environment,urban profile,urban planning,urban functional organization and urban street space,and further deepens the study of Melbourne city Knowledge of street space.In the fifth chapter,according to the research and the conclusion of the urban space in Melbourne,some suggestions can be made on the aspects of street space construction in China.Finally,the paper summarizes the shortcomings of the paper and the follow-up research direction.
