In recent years, EPC project management mode has been widely recognized in the oil refinery projects in the China. EPC general contractor develop rapidly. Management experience & management ability of EPC general contractor has been significantly improved, but they are still inadequate to compared with the western general contractor, in the project implementation effect. EPC project collaborative management is one of the main reasons.This thesis takes the EPC general contract on a complete oil refinery as the object, initiating from the managing status quo of EPC general contract on petrochemical projects in China, under the theory of modern project management, integrative managing and cooperative managing, to study the organizational relations of the participants, the process control and works of the EPC general contract project on a complete refinery, analyzing its organization management, construction process control, managing process, resources and information managing, in order to find the cooperative and integrative chances.The outputs of the study are as follows. Firstly this study builds up the project cooperative management model, under the principle of relationship of works, info matrix, response as per need, to integrate the utilization of the key elements of the 5 managing dimensions of project organization, construction process, managing process, resources and information. Secondly, this study analyzed the managing infrastructure of the project system and underlined the functions of the key elements of the 5 dimensions in cooperative project managing. Thirdly, this study proposed the project cooperative managing solution, based on process control plan as the main body for comprehensive cooperation, WBS for multi dimensions cooperation, and earned value analyzing as the center for evaluation. Upon the above studies, this article proposed that this 5 million ton per year refinery project should adopt systematic managing with sub projects execution as the solution and formulated detailed executive plans. Finally, the executive result of the 5 million ton per year refinery project is used to make comparison with the cooperative management plan.This thesis uses the method of combination of collaborative management and integrated management to study oil refining EPC project collaborative management, and have achieved good results in practice, has a certain reference to the similar projects in China.
