Since the beginning of 21 st century,the population of main cities is growing fast with the continuous development of China’s economy and urbanization process.China’s population distribution shows regional concentration.For the moment,the traditional urban traffic has been overwhelmed,the way to solve the increasingly serious traffic congestion problem has being the key point of restricting urban development.Urban rail transit has such advantages as high transportation capacity,energy saving,environmental protection,safety and comfort.It has become a good medicine to solve the problem of urban congestion.By the end of 2016,urban rail transit network planning of 58 cities were approved in China.133 lines of 30 cities has begun operating urban rail transit.The total length of the operation lines has reached 4152.8 km.As the urban rail transit has a long project construction time,large investment,involving many professional disciplines.The interface between the professional disciplines is very complex.And the requirement of project management is very high.However,with the rapid development of urban rail transit industry,the problems of construction management are becoming more and more serious.The paper takes Chongqing urban rail transit line 4 as an example,and use project management knowledge to study construction project management of urban rail transit.Firstly,on the basis of extensive reading in the literature,knowledge base of project management is introduced.Secondly,combined with Chongqing urban rail transit line 4,the paper introduces organization structure,schedule management,cost management,quality management,safety management and contract management.Thirdly,the paper put forward countermeasures and suggestions on the solution of the existing problems of schedule management,cost management,quality management,safety management and contract management of Chongqing urban rail transit line 4.And finally,the paper summarizes the experience of project management of Chongqing urban rail transit line 4,and puts forward some suggestions for reference of other cities.
