Welding technology as an important processing techniques,occupies a very important position in the drive axle manufacturing.Welding as a production process,welding components commonly deformed,stress concentration,accuracy is difficult to meet the design requirements and other issues is widespread in the actual production process.After a long period of on-site verification and theoretical analysis,application welding devices to solve such problems has become a wide range of development trends in manufacturing industry.The plate of the axle housing is connected with the axle housing body through the welding seam,the traditional welding process is to compress the plate by manual clamping or weight alone on the axle housing,the influence of the welding heat causes deformed of the plate,in the process of moving vehicles,the plate weld will bear a large alternating load,it is easy to produce cracks at the weld,reducing axle life.Combined with the development trend of the industry,this paper designs an assembly welding fixture suitable for plate and pressure plate welding,by exerting a certain pressure on plate and pressure plate to achieve positioning and clamping,so that make pre-deformation on plate to offset the welding deformation by welding heat,thus,avoiding the welding stress concentration,reducing the probability of open welding and cracking,thus,improve the service life of the bridge.In this paper,welding fixture is modeled by 3D modeling software Pro / E,stiffness analysis of mechanical structure of welding apparatus based on ANSYS,simulation the deformation of the pressure plate,then analyze and optimize the welding fixture,analysis the WPQR and fatigue test of the products after welding,demonstration the rationality of the welding fixture designed.
