In recent years,with the rapid development of the Internet and the emergence of new technologies,the degree of social dependence on electricity has become more and more higher.The traditional artificial regularly visit the user’s meter reading form,not only cannot guarantee the real-time synchronization and accuracy of the data,but also waste a lot of manpower and material resources.At present,most of our remote power meter reading systems have adopted RS-485,RS-232 and other wired communication.With the increasing of the number of users,however,the data real-time and stability requirements are also increasing.The disadvantages of wired communication meter reading way are gradually exposed,such as in the pre-wiring process,cumbersome lines lead to excessive workload,not easy to expand,for the line loss of maintenance costs are too high and maintenance problems and so on.In order to solve the above problems,the wireless remote meter reading technology came into being.Wireless remote meter reading technology should not only break the original ways of electric power meter reading,but also accurate copy of the energy meter data.While the power consumption of the system itself has some very strict requirements,such as Bluetooth,GPRS,WiFi and other wireless meter reading technologies,cannot meet this high demand.ZigBee is a relatively new technology,it has many advantages like low power consumption,low cost,low complexity and etc..At the same time,the advantages of large network capacity,high security and high reliability also indicate the advantages of ZigBee technology in wireless remote meter reading.In this thesis,a remote meter reading scheme based on ZigBee wireless communication technology is proposed by studying the traditional meter reading technology and the emerging remote meter reading technology.The requirements of the system are analyzed in this thesis,and the demand of the system is described in detail from the two aspects of function and performance,and then the overall design scheme of the system is formed.The system is then designed in detail from bothsoftware and hardware.Hardware part of coordinator,router,acquisition terminal three types of the network nodes are used by TI’s CC2530 production for wireless transmission module,while joining the CC2591 RF front-end to expand the data communication distance.Then,the thesis focuses on the networking process of three kinds of network nodes,and finally realizes the function of wireless data transmission module.Now most of the companies designed the meter reading systems mainly completed the acquisition of information on the energy meter,a few users of earth leakage behavior cannot achieve real-time monitoring requirements,so in this design of the meter reading system by adding a stealing power recognition function,instantly diagnose whether the user has a stolen electrical behavior.At the same time,also joined the SMS reminder function,when the amount of electricity left by the residents is not enough,to inform the user in a timely manner to pay the payment,eliminating electrician’s troubles of posting the arrears from door to door.Finally,the test platform of the system was set up,and the overall function of the upper and lower machine of the wireless meter system was tested.By test results that the remote meter reading system can accurately finish data collection function and a series of processing of the data,to achieve the desired effect in the previous demand,proved the feasibility of the experiment.
