From the 1980 s,steam turbine DEH,that is Digital Electric Hydraulic Control System,is getting to be the main tubine control system and began to be used in small steam turbines with the development of the technology.This optimized small steam turbine used to be WOODWARD505 digital speed governor.But after 10 years of operation,it reflected more and more defects in control system and oil system,also the maintenance costs are very high,which affectr the normal operation of small steam turbine.Thus our plant optimize technical reform,and put into practice.In this paper,the optimization and transformation is the object,I analyse the function of the original 505 digital speed governor,the operation condition of the turbine in our plant,and introduce that the system optimize will remove the 505 speed controller in the end.All the functions of 505 will be transplanted in the Distributed Control System,DCS,making the original control system and the dignostic function more perfect.The tranformed small steam turbine is called MEH,which is stable and reliable,after many years' operation.This paper provides an example for optimization and renovation of small steam turbine speed governing system,also provide a certain reference for the upgrading of other control system using 505 governor equipment.
