Research On The Protection And Reusage Of Architecture Of Early Modern Industrial Heritage(1840-1910s)

Early modern industrial heritage was formed in specific historical period in modern China,1840-the Republic of China.It is the witness of modern history.With the concept of industrial heritage protection becoming accepted broadly,the value of industrial heritage is accepted and the practical protection of industrial heritage architecture becomes more and more.Early modern industrial heritage is more than 100 years old and witness the entire development of modernization of China.Consequently,Early modern industrial architecture are suffering natural weathering and improper damage.But there are some problems in the protection theory and practice.This paper does literature's arranging and studying,analyzes the project cases.Then it tries to find out the architectural style,structural characteristics and other characteristics about the early modern industrial architecture heritage.Based on the characteristics,this paper concludes both traditional and advanced repair technology as well as reuse styles.Combined with a lot of field research and project cases,this paper studies the protection theory and repair technology,and provides technical reference for further success.Through all above,this paper uses the theory discussed above in the protection and preservation of the machinery engineering workshop in Daku Dock,Tianjin.
