Modern urban street design embodies its "car-based" values and the lack of humanistic care.Traditional urban street life is seriously degraded,and urban street vitality is lost.Although China’s urban construction work has been widely aware that an effective way to solve urban traffic problems and to improve the city vitality is to get rid of the simple street design method relying on motor vehicle traffic,and to start looking for humanized design methods.But the current domestic urban street design theories and researches are more limited to the traffic engineering measures renew.After all,the street design only regards the streets as the traffic flow paths,not as the important public spaces carrying the city life,and didn’t treats them carefully.As an important part of the city’s public space,the streets have a far-reaching impact on the urban quality improvement,economic development,environmental improvement and public health promotion.Therefore,the street design needs to be combined with the urban design,starting from the needs of the street users,finds the residential street design strategies,improve the urban public life from the streets design.In this paper,the study of the design strategy of living streets aims to solve the gap between people’s demand for streets and the present situation of urban streets,and to explore how to meet the needs to the streets through the humanized street design.The full text includes five official chapters:Chapter 1 is the introduction,including the meaning of the study,the analysis of relevant concepts,domestic and foreign environmental psychology related theory and the research methods and ideas.Chapter 2 is an overview of the evolution of street design trends and an analysis of its evolution.Summarize the different needs of the different stages of urban development,the dominant,and the resulting changes in the core mode of transport.And concludes that the new design will emerge as the dominant user needs change.With time and the development of the city,the dominant demand presents the trend of satisfying the traffic function to enhance the vitality of the city and pursue the artistic aesthetic.In Chapter 3,we construct the user demand model for the life street.In the second chapter,the conclusion is that the change of social demand is the important motive for the evolution of street design trend.On the basis of summarizing the common content of several typical urban living street design and the demand survey of street users,The study of the needs of street design,concluded that: social needs can be divided into safety,traffic,comfort,activities,places,aesthetic,ecological and identity of the eight main types,and can be divided into traffic,vitality and aesthetic 3 progressive relationship Of the demand level,constitute the chapter described in the "street design user demand model."Chapter 4 presents the urban design strategy for the analysis of street users’ needs.Combined with the social needs of living street design,through street research and data research approach,to meet the needs of users above the street design strategies to study the life of the streets to meet the traffic function needs to meet the needs of urban vitality to meet the aesthetic needs of art The three aspects of urban design strategy.Chapter 5 is an example of the application of street design strategies in practice.Combined with the characteristics of Sanya Bay Road and the existing problems,the general conclusions of the design of urban street life are applied to the specific street reconstruction cases with individual specificity.At the end of this paper,the conclusions of this paper are summarized,and pointed out that innovation,limitations and the need to continue to study part.
