Study On The Present Characteristics And Optimization Of Space Structure In Suzhou's Small Town

The continuous urbanization had fully changed the space structure of small town,especially in Suzhou's small towns where it has the rapid urbanization.After Suzhou's small towns entered into the period of “Integrated Urban-rural”,its space structure exposed some new characteristics and problems,those problems impeded the virtuous operation of Suzhou's small towns.Hereto,Suzhou's small towns need to change its developing model,and optimizing the space structure is precisely one of the important elements for the transformation development.This paper chooses the present space structure of Suzhou's small towns as the research object.First,with the help of literature,this paper confirms the concept of small towns' space structure and space structure optimization,and studies the space structure of Suzhou's small towns from regional level and urban level,in each level it summarizes the characteristics of present space structure from the aspects of town scale,space layout,space form,etc.Then,this paper summarizes the influence of natural environment,transportation mode,industrial agglomeration and policy planning on the space structure,and analyzes the effects of local government,development enterprises and urban residents,and tries to establish the mechanism of “Influencing factor-Behavior subject-Spatial characteristic”.At last,this paper puts forward the present problems on regional level,they are the imbalance of scale structure and the low coordination of resource allocation,its optimization strategy are to optimize scale structure,to enhance the population of general small town;to allocate resource rationally and to guide the resource flow of resources;to improve the traffic to be overhead developing.And the present problems on urban level,they are unreasonable land structure and too much industrial land;“Semi-urbanization Space” causing urban development to be limited;the highlight of space resources' bottleneck,and the low efficiency of its use.And its optimization strategy are changing the mode of development,implementing land intensive development;adjusting the land structure,strengthening the construction of supporting services;implementing the industrial upgrading and "city integration" construction;paying attention to ecological functions,adhering to the urban ecological bottom line.
