A Study On The Traditional Techniques Of Jiaodong Peninsula In Regional Comparative Perspective

Jiaodong Peninsula is an important area of cultural integration in Shandong region.The construction activities can be traced back to the pre-Qin period.With a large number of immigrants moved in Ming and Qing Dynasties,the master craftsman,construction techniques and practices of different regions were brought in.Under the joint influence of the regional natural and social factors,these regions and foreign construction techniques were mutually integrated.And the regional characteristics of the traditional construction techniques of Jiaodong Peninsula were gradually formed.This paper investigates on the traditional construction techniques.The study scope is narrow down to the east area of the Jiaolai River-Jiaodong Peninsula.The extensive field research of the traditional village as well as the interview information of the traditional craftsman are used as research method to record and sort out the traditional geographical characteristics of the traditional construction techniques of Jiaodong Peninsula,cognitive the technical and cultural connotation of the traditional construction techniques and define the basic division of the distribution of the traditional construction techniques.As a result,the basic information and technical support for the future study of the traditional construction techniques of Jiaodong Peninsula will be provided.This paper consists of four chapters.In the first chapter,the introductory section puts forward the research background,defines the research object and the research scope,clarifies the purpose and significance of the study,summarizes the current research status and the existing problems and finally puts forward the technical route for the paper research.The second chapter analyzesthe influence of the environment on the regional characteristics of the traditional construction techniques of the Jiaodong Peninsula from two aspects of the natural and social factors.Under the sequence of "macro-meso-micro",the third chapter analyzes the regional characteristics and practices of the traditional construction techniques in Jiaodong Peninsula from three aspects-the village and the street,the courtyard and the building,the concrete construction practice.Finally,based on the analysis of the previous chapters,this paper summarizes the geographical characteristics and distribution characteristics of the traditional construction techniques of Jiaodong Peninsula and then explores the division of the traditional construction techniques in Jiaodong Peninsula region.The traditional construction techniques of Jiaodong peninsula will be explained by the comparison and analysis of the characteristics of the traditional building techniques.The traditional construction techniques is not only a technical category,but also an important component of the regional culture in Jiaodong Peninsula.Its formation,development,evolution is closely related to regional natural climate,geographical environment,natural resources,social environment and human factors.The research and record of the traditional construction techniques are of great practical significance for the preservation of the traditional vernacular architecture heritage and the regional culture and to highlight the regional characteristics in Jiaodong peninsula.
