Research On The Craftsman And Craftsmanship Of Traditional Residential Building In Southern Yunnan

This paper takes Tonghai,Jianshui and other traditional dwellings in southern Yunnan as carriers,which shows the traditional dwellings in southern Yunnan from the beginning of building houses to choosing craftsmen,and finally reflects the craftsmanship thinking on the traditional dwellings modes through craftsmanship.It comprehensively introducing the traditional dwellings modes and construction features in southern Yunnan,and meanwhile highlights the core position and role of traditional craftsmen and their mastery of craftsmanship in the whole construction system.This paper explores the craftsman system of traditional dwellings in southern Yunnan as well as craftsmen acquisition and craftsmen inheritance.In the era of rapid development of construction technology,the skills and inheritance of traditional dwelling craftsmen in Tonghai and Jianshui have special cultural and technological value.This paper tries to make a detailed observation and record of the life of traditional dwelling craftsmen through filed research of traditional dwelling craftsmen in Tonghai and Jianshui,interviewing and recording their construction process and skills.The current situation and stagnation of development are systematically sorted out and studied.The construction procedures,rituals and techniques of Tonghai and Jianshui traditional dwellings are briefly discussed.The craftsmen’s craftsmanship acquisition process and teacher-inheritance system are discussed.The different states and operation modes of traditional craftsmen’s organizations and modern ancient building construction teams in the current construction of Jianshui traditional dwellings are excavated.The economic income of traditional craftsmen is investigated and compared it with other industries,this paper points out the shortcomings in the inheritance of traditional folk shop builders in our country,so that puts forward corresponding suggestions for protecting the traditional residence builders and the complete traditional residence construction techniques.
