With the rapid development of China’s energy Internet is proposed and the smart grid,the traditional mode of protection using only local information and simple time and sensitivity with gradually reveals its inherent drawbacks,by introducing more information to improve the performance of traditional protection,has become a hot topic.Based on the research and design of a new generation of intelligent substation project background,starting from the new requirements of relay protection in smart grid,designs the protection scheme set protection system,specific principle,reliability verification as a whole.In this paper,based on analyzing the existing Smart Substation Protection Configuration and solution,we put forward three suggestions to solve the intelligent station protection system architecture.In the above three points under the guidance from geographic constraints protection function realization and protection of the protection system established two function integration configuration of the intelligent station from the main protection and the backup protection domain,consisting of three heavy protection system;and by protection,substation area protection and wide area the three layer protection mechanism to protect the system.At the same time on the two system to realize the logic and mechanism were described,and the function realization of specific functions of the opening exposition.This paper proposes an intelligent substation logic based on the density of the substation area protection scheme,based on the above system,according to the existing substation protection redundancy logic,combined with the operation state of circuit breaker and relay substation,construction,function and fault logic density,automatic updates in Substation Based on topological elements,single or multiple rapid positioning the fault zone,and the matching results of qualitative reliability test.According to the possible fault condition of each equipment or interval in the station,the determination method and action plan of each protection range are designed.In order to prove the superiority of the system and bring the above scheme,this paper from the availability of functional configuration,using FMEA analysis method based on reliability,three layer protection system under the protection of the intelligent station on the modeling,analysis and reliability verification;results show that with the protection mechanism is more reasonable than the traditional architecture,protection scheme of high reliability.This paper put forward the protection function of intelligent substation integration scheme based on constructing a complete system structure,puts forward the technical scheme for the engineering practice and the specific algorithm and system and algorithm were carried out reliability analysis.The demonstration process of the system is clear,the scheme has high flexibility,and the reliability verification is complete and clear.At present,the protection principle of the project has been in Zhejiang power grid supply company related site trial operation.
