Digital prototype technology combined with virtual reality technology,simulation technology and computer three-dimensional graphics technology,which can achieve the digital prototype product design and development,performance testing,manufacturing simulation,application simulation,results analysis and product optimization.The combined simulation of digital prototype technology and CAE software can be achieved by using this technology and analyzed the kinematics and dynamics of mechanical products and so on.Drum mixer is widely used in equipment sintering plant,chemical plant and pharmaceutical factory.it has the advantages of transmission torque,easy maintenance and long service life,but the vibration noise is larger.Mixer application areas are extensive in the present,the digital prototype technology is introduced into the mixer design and development to ensure the mixer design quality.This paper studied the ?5.1×26 m mixer,the main research content was divided into three parts shown as follows:The first part,material mixing degree was analyzed by EDEM software and the factory was established.Different speed and filling rate values were set to analyze material mixing degree and some results were obtained.At the same time,the mixed quality verified the reasonability of material mixing simulation.The second part,mixer movement was analyzed by using SolidWorks modeling imported into the virtual software ADAMS.The movement of mixer was showed to design personnel through the animation display.Therefore,it can improve the product design efficiency.The angular velocity of small gear and the big gear ring and the three directions'speed of cylinders under global coordinate system were studied to provide the basis for mixer dynamics analysis.The third part,using the advantage of SolidWorks modeling and imported it into ANSYS and ADAMS software to carry out the mixer dynamic analysis,the mixer centroid displacement change in motion was obtained by the mixer dynamic analysis.In order to better analyze the cylinder running stability and the modal analysis was carried out on the cylinder.The natural frequency and the existing frequency was compared to conclude whether mixer would occur resonance.The contact force between roller and the cylinder and the gear meshing force had influence on the mixer running stability.ADAMS software was applied to research the simulation rules through comparing the simulation value with the theoretical value,which verifies the rationality of the model.
