| Public transportation has become an important pillar of residents and the urban economic growth,it is crucial for the stand or fall of public transport service quality for residents.Public dispatch,as a key component to urban public transportation,plays an important role in residents’ favorable use of public transportation to improve service quality and lower enterprise costs.Most of Chinese cities have begun exploring the construction of intelligent public transportation systems,But there is a tendency of pursuing technology for the technology’s sake while there is a lack of research into the scientific applicability of the new technologies.This resulted in many intelligent public transportation systems serving only decorative purposes,the system is not sound,the function is not perfect,can’t really play the role of real-time monitoring and scheduling.This paper designs a systematical framework for an intelligent public transportation monitoring and dispatch system for the city of Chongqing.It is based upon our country’s effort to develop intelligent public transportation system and tries to utilize the system’s advanced functions in a way to combine theory and practice.The research emphasis of this paper is on Chongqing’s intelligent public transportation monitoring and dispatch system.This paper based on the previous research and the analysis of successful cases,the paper examines the demand and systemic design,providing methods and processes.First,the paper after investigating the development of Chongqing’s intelligent public transportation monitoring and dispatch system,combined with the group of Chongqing city,more mountains,more bridges and tunnels,uneven distribution of bus stations,unconsistent of site spacing,not smooth operation and low punctuality characteristics,the paper provides an analysis and study of the city’s overall demand for the system.It provides the integrated goal and function of the system.Secondly,the paper provides a systematic and scientific analysis of composition,key technologies and the demand.Lastly,based on a framework of overall design,the paper provides a general structure for Chongqing’s intelligent public transportation monitoring and dispatch system,with a detailed and systematic design plan.The general structure of the intelligent public transportation monitoring and dispatch system for the city of Chongqing as argued in this paper can be summarized as follows: one digital center,three application platforms,two support platforms and two safety systems.The main function is to provide real time positioning of public transportation vehicles,real time monitoring of public transportation vehicles,real time communication,automatic management of dispatch interval time of vehicles and traffic order,station service information for passengers,passenger information collection,and coordination of multiple transportation methods,that will better serve passengers,public transportation companies and the system.It is the very good guidance to intelligent bus monitoring scheduling for Chongqing. |
