Design And Implementation Of Impedance Analysis And Testing Device For DVL Transducer

The phased-array Doppler Velocity log is one of the main positioning and navigation equipment of modem ship, which has the advantages of small size of array, high precision,and without velocity compensation. As the transmitting and receiving carrier of Doppler log,the transducer needs to be tested periodically. We will face the problems of large volume and high cost if we adopt the traditional impedance analyzer.In this paper, according to the test requirements of transducer, a portable device to measure the impedance of transducer is designed.Firstly, the development status of impedance test device is introduced; the impedance characteristics and the test principle of underwater acoustic transducer are expounded. With TMS320VC5509A as the core of the hardware circuit, the DSP minimum system, impedance measuring circuit, intelligent terminal serial communication, data access circuit and the design scheme of power supply circuit are completed. The special chip AD5933 is adopted in the impedance test circuit; some peripheral circuits are added such as small impedance test circuit, analog switch circuit and self checking circuit. As for the software, C language is adopted to program in CCS3.3 development environment. Many functions are realized such as system self-checking, intelligent terminal data interaction impedance test and the FAT32 file system. MATLAB software is used to program data analysis and mapping.Finally, the performance of AD5933 chip is tested, the resistance, capacitance and the transducer is tested and analyzed, and compared the test results with the standard results. The experimental results show that the equipment meets the design demand. The detection device of transducer of 120 kHz, 150 kHz and 300 kHz Doppler velocity log is realized.
