Dump truck OEMs and tuning house often operate independently in China,OEMs send the series chassis to turning house according the vehicle series,then,the turning house complete matching and designing of the dedicated dump Trucks's tops.In order to meet the special needs of the tops with specific features,tops manufacturers need to make the appropriate design and renovation with local deformation of the chassis,which often lead to that chassis structure limits the best match of tops with chassis and making the car failed to achieve the optimal matching state.Such as the curb weight of domestic dump truck is larger compared to foreign dump truck,there are also high center of gravity,modification change the stress of the frame leads to cracking failure and other issues.Aiming at these problems and in order to ensure low center of gravity,lightweight design goal,the TY-type dump truck was integrated overall design which was relyed on high-tech industrialization projects of Shanxi Province-Project dedicated dump truck development.Firstly,modal analysis of the original TY-type dump truck was carried out with modal test,three-dimensional modeling and finite element analysis of the.TY-type dump truck original frame were used to analyze modal and compared the result with modal test result,meta-modeling approach was verified to be effectiveness.In order to achieve low center of gravity lightweight design goals,the paper presented the main and sub-one frame design,finalized the new frame using I-beam cross-section by using mechanical analysis of the different sections frame,the new frame with the original frame stress analysis carried out under different conditions,and the results show that mechanical properties of the new frame is better than the original frame;finally compared the modal characteristics of the new frame with the original frame and the dynamic performance of the new frame is evaluated by combining with the engine and road excitation.In order to achieve optimal matching of the tops and frame,tops and chassis designed in parallel under the guide of integrated design ideology.Compaleted the design and analysis of vehicle,and vehicle rollover and Alice head were analyzed.The results show that the design of new TY type dump truck reduce 8.2 percent quality,7.2 percent lower center of gravity,which compared with the original vehicle,and have a good dynamic characteristics and vehicle stability.
