In recent years, with the rapid development of civil aviation transportation, air traffic flow increase continuously. In order to meet the requirements of the air traffic control ,construct a new generation of civil aviation systems become a trend in the worldwide.Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast(ADS-B) is all about communications between aircraft, and also between aircraft and ground.ADS-B is one of the components of the US Next Generation Air Transportation system, and it is also one of the recommended technologies for the development of the International Civil Aviation Organization. In this paper, according to the equipment composition and technical principle of ADS-B system, combined with the actual operation of system for many years, focuses on the analysis of the safety redundancy of each part of the system. On this basis, formulating technical solutions to ease the risk of system operation.Firstly, the present research status of the indoor Automatic Dependent Surveillance and abroad is analyzed and compared based on lots of related literatures' reading. And the principles and characteristics of the ADS technology based on Broadcast are introduced and analyzed, focus on the function of each unit of airborne equipment and ground station equipmentSecondly, introduce the basic concept of redundancy and its different types, then, research the basic concept of redundant safety. Analyse the ADS-B locating data sources, air ground data link, and the ground station for redundancy respectively. Using Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis(FMECA) methods analyse each subsystem, form safety redundancy analysis conclusion. Finally, through the analysis of location data source operation risk, air ground data link operation risk, ADS-B ground basestation operation risk, data transmission network operation risk, formulating technical solutions to control and ease the risk of system operation.
